No Verão de 2010, cinco amigos, vindos de bandas como Sem Resposta e Trust Nothing, juntaram-se para fazer aquilo que gostavam mais: tocar música, divertirem-se, viajar e conhecer pessoas novas. RELICS nasceu. No Outono do mesmo ano, a banda terminou subitamente.
“Songs of Individual Liberation” surge como único registo desta curta existência. Seis músicas de hardcore intenso, introspectivo, com letras que questionam o Mundo, a Religião e a Humanidade.
Segundo lançamento da Juicy Records e edição de estreia da best.of.me records, o EP, em formato de cassete áudio, nasce tal como a banda, de um acto de amizade. Editar um EP de uma banda que não viveu o suficiente para o tocar ao vivo pode parecer estranho, mas para nós, estranho seria deixar perecer no anonimato aquilo que os RELICS decidiram com tanto empenho deixar como legado ao Hardcore.

In the Summer of 2010, five friends, coming from bands as Sem Resposta and Trust Nothing, got together to do what they loved the most: play music, have fun, travel and meet new people. RELICS was born. In the Fall of the same year, the band suddenly ended.
“Songs of Individual Liberation” arises as the only record coming from this short existence. Six songs of intense and introspective hardcore, with lyrics questioning the World, Religion and Mankind.
Second release from Juicy Records and debut edition from best.of.me records, the EP, in tape format, is born as the band itself, from an act of friendship. To release an EP from a band that didn’t live long enough to play it live may seem awkward, but to us, awkward would be letting perish in obscurity what RELICS decided with such effort to leave as a legacy to Hardcore.
